Description

The Drill Doctor WSSA0002009 Knife Sharpening System (often branded under Work Sharp) is a dedicated attachment for the WS2000 tool sharpener.

It uses flexible abrasive belt technology to create convex edges on all types of knives, including kitchen, pocket, and serrated blades, without burning or altering the blade's temper.

Attachment Details & Features:
The WSSA0002009 kit transforms your flat-disc WS2000 into a precision belt grinder.

Edge Type:
Produces a durable, long-lasting convex blade edge rather than a flat 'V' grind.

Compatibility:
Designed explicitly to work with the Work Sharp WS2000 (motor/base not included).
Abrasives:
Uses 3/4" x 12" premium engineered abrasive belts.

Kits generally include coarse (X200/120-grit), medium (X65), and fine (X22) grits.

Guide System:
Includes flexible guides to establish and maintain a consistent angle while pulling the knife through.

Maintenance & Usage Tips:
Alternating Passes: For best results, alternate passes from left to right guides. For a heavily dulled knife, do 6 to 10 alternating passes.
Speed: The WS2000 runs at speeds suitable for tool grinding, making it safe and easy to control the heat buildup on your knife blades.
