Description

The Veritas detail rabbet planes have especially been designed for uses with narrower rebates in mind, they are comfortable to handle and available in a variety of sizes. The slender pocket-size planes allow fine; controlled cuts in areas you could ordinarily trim only with a chisel; Very narrow soles for cleaning dados or grooves; Comfortable and easily maneuvered; they are relatively tall to provide a good gripping surface with an upswept palm rest for registration in the hand; Ductile cast iron body has a fixed mouth; a 3inch long sole; and is accurately machined and ground

They feature a low 15° bed to cater for cross grain work. The O1 tool steel blades have their bevel sharpened and honed to 30°, making for a 45° cutting angle. The blades are lapped and ready for use.

This plane has a 6mm wide blade

Also available in 1/4", 5/16" (8mm), 3/8" and 10mm.
