Carbatec Faceplate with worm screw.

A screw chuck is a wood lathe accessory used to mount turning blanks, featuring a single central screw and a flat faceplate backing. It provides a fast, secure way to mount bowl and platter blanks without needing multiple faceplate screws

Suits a spindle thread size of 1-1/4inch x 8tpi such as found on late model large Teknatool Lathes (after 2006) and other brands using the American standard 1 1/4 inch by 8 Teeth Per Inch standard.

Includes 3 woodworm screws which are held in place by a grub screw.

Screw shaft diameters determine the size of the drill used. Diameters are 5.75mm, 7.5mm and 9.1mm.
