Description

Another versatile plane from Veritas, the Cabinetmaker's Trimming Plane sits flush on the workpiece with the blade mounted at the front allowing it to get into corners and places that chisels may be too big for. The blade runs full width of the body, so paring along the edge of a rebate is possible to remove any missed material.

At 544grams, it has good weight behind it for paring straight along an edge or being used in a slicing action for inlays, dowels or general cleaning up. The O1 tool steel blade features a 20° bevel and fits neatly onto the bed at 15° giving an angle ideal for severing the fibres with minimal tearout.
