Description
An important woodworking rule is to keep your hands well away from a moving blade, is the easiest way to avoid an accident and costs nothing. It’s one of the first things that you learn about, and unfortunately, it one of the last things you forget to do, immediately before and accident.
That said, there are occasions where the need to safely support and control your workpiece, and specifically when the need to get ‘up close and personal’ to the moving steel cannot be avoided. Controlling smaller sheet products requires good downward pressure on a table saw, where very thin rip cuts can leave a projectile jammed between your blade and fence (unless it’s pushed past the danger zone). Consistent pressure against a fence on a bandsaw and jointer, ensures a square cut, as does consistent downward pressure on the flat face of a jointer, when flattening a board. Pushing any product through a blade needs carful thought and safety measures (one slip could change your life forever)
The Carbatec Push Block & Stick Pack includes 5 various blush blocks and sticks, for almost every occasion. Two separate neoprene faced push blocks, with different handgrips and offsets, for different applications and perfect on Bandsaws, Table Saws and Jointers. The two-handed push block is great on the table saw too. Traditional handled push stick for general use, and a thin rip push stick for those tricky operations where blade and fence are close. Their plastic construction makes them non-marring and non-damaging to your blades (just think… that could have been your finger!)
