Description
The original mechanism where the shaft goes all the way to the top of the grinder and a Salt or Pepper knob is screwed to the end of the shaft as a retainer.
The metal plates that secure the grinding mechanism at the base and the shaft as it enters the top are screwed in place.
The Grind series have a ceramic grinding mechanism which will handle both salt and pepper so you can make a matching set.
Ceramic Mills can grind Coarse Salt; Sea Salt; Peppercorns; Flax Seeds; Mustards Seeds; Cumin; Sesame Seeds and Celery Seeds; without transferring taste on the mill.
They are rustproof; with stainless steel components and an aluminium rod; and are available in a variety of popular sizes.
