These simple and affordable one-piece taper reamers can be used for several woodworking tasks.
The small reamer (3/16inch to 3/4inch) is useful to rustic furniture makers for back-tapering holes for through-tenon wedging (see diagram); as well as for general tenon tapering; being complementary to Veritas' Pro Taper Reamer (05J61-01) because of the overlapping size range.
The small reamer is 3-3/8inch (85mm) long with a 5/16inch hex shank. The included angle of 12.8 degrees matches the tenons made with the Veritas Tapered Tenon Cutters.
Designed for use in an electric drill; this tool may also be used in a traditional brace with an adapter.
