Description

Pfeil Number 1S chisels are a straight edged carving chisel with bevel ground on both the front and back of the blade at a slight skew angle, this skew angle gives more of a slicing action so are used without a mallet.

The choice of single or double bevel is largely personal preference. The 1S range is a double bevel skew The 1SE range is a single bevel skew.

Swiss made Pfeil chisels come sharpened and are completely ready for use. They are constructed with chrome vanadium alloy that is made to Pfeil's own specifications.

The last number of the product code indicates the cutting width in millimetres.

Made in Switzerland.

Pfeil 1S straight tools - the edge is slightly skewed for easy cutting action; often used without a mallet. Removes neat shavings. Double bevel - so the chisel can be used with the skew to the right or left. Useful for carving lettering and ornamental forms.
