Description

A Nagura stone is a smaller waterstone, used to condition waterstones during use. For natural Waterstones, using a Nagua stone wears away hard particles or contamination in the waterstone such as metal from sharpening. In the process, a slurry containing sediment is created, which is ideally used for finishing stones, to achieve a polish.

Nagura stones are used with finer grade stones to polish the edge or bevel on a blade.
