Replacement PM-V11 Plane Blade - with 38°:

05P34-01 Veritas® Low-Angle Jack Plane
05P36-01 Veritas® Bevel-Up Smoother Plane
05P37-01 Veritas® Bevel-Up Jointer Plane

The 38° blade yields an effective cutting angle of 50° (commonly known as a York pitch) and is an excellent blade for general smoothing. Higher cutting angles require greater force to push the plane, making the 38° bevel the ideal starting point (a balance of performance and effort) when working difficult wood.

Blade is 2-1/4" wide, 3/16" thick, made of PM-V11 and lapped on non-bevel side to flatness tolerance of 0.0002" or better over the working surface; average roughness surface finish of 5 microinches (0.000005") or better
