Bangles, curtain rings and wheels as well as captive rings on goblets and puzzles are amongst the projects which can be created with the Robert Sorby Captive Ring Tool

With the ¾” flat shank firmly located on the tool rest, this gives a full control. The cutter can also be angled for access to restricted spaces.

Tools fitted with just one cutter and individual cutters are also available separately.

The ring cutter tips themselves are interchangeable and located in a specifically designed slot. This slot ensures that the cutter is correctly angled to create a perfect cut on each side of the ring.

Cutters are sharpened with a diamond stone, instructions included. Use a diamond file or honing stone flat across the top face. To gain best results and increase the longevity of the cutter this simple procedure should be done little and often.
